About The Position

SunSoft Online is seeking a Data Network Telecom Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity with an Arizona state agency in Phoenix. This hands-on role installs, repairs, splices, tests, and terminates copper, fiber, and coax cabling; installs and maintains network and communications equipment (routers, switches, video systems, security and access-control equipment, public address systems); and schedules and coordinates installation, repair, and preventative maintenance projects with vendors, contractors, and agency units, including oversight of contractor resources on site.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Cable Technician experience installing and maintaining digital computer systems and peripheral equipment or telephone station equipment and related systems, or 2+ years as a Lead Cable Technician
• Technical training in electronics, telecommunications, or digital systems from an accredited program may substitute for one year of experience
• Local to Phoenix; current city must be listed on resume
• Must be eligible to convert to FTE
• W2 only, US Citizens and Green Card holders (no sponsorship)
• HireRight background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

• Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT)
• BICSI certification
