About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models that support business intelligence, analytics, reporting, and operational applications. The role involves translating business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models while ensuring data quality, consistency, scalability, and governance. The Data Modeller will work closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Solution Architects, Database Administrators, and business stakeholders to create robust and scalable data architectures.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Modelling.
• Strong knowledge of Relational Data Modelling and ER Modelling.
• Experience with Dimensional Data Modelling.
• Good understanding of normalization and denormalization techniques.
• Experience designing Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Understanding of slowly changing dimensions (SCD), fact tables, dimension tables, and surrogate keys.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Good knowledge of relational databases such as: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake.
• Understanding of database performance, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Knowledge of database constraints and referential integrity.
• Experience with data warehouse and data lake concepts.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
• Experience with one or more cloud data platforms such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with one or more of the following data modelling tools: Erwin Data Modeler, ER/Studio, SAP Power Designer, Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Lucidchart, Microsoft Visio.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in data modelling, database design, data warehousing, or related roles.
• Experience working on enterprise data platforms and large-scale data projects.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift is desirable.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
