About The Position

Southern Water is on a major data transformation journey to build a modern, trusted data platform that supports operational performance, regulatory outcomes and rapid decision‑making across the business. We’re looking for an experienced Domain Data Modeller to join our growing Data & Analytics team. Working within a domain-focused agile squad, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure data structures accurately represent business processes and information needs. As the Domain Data Modeller, you'll define and evolve data models, ensuring consistency, quality and reuse across the data platform. This is new, key role needed to help teams understand where data originates, how it is transformed and how it should be used. Working closely with Data Engineers and BI Engineers, you'll ensure data products are built on robust, scalable information models that align with enterprise architecture, governance standards and domain ownership principles. You’ll also provide guidance on modelling best practices, data standards and business terminology, helping establish a consistent and trusted data foundation that supports both operational decision-making and strategic insight.
