About The Position

A client is searching for a Databricks Data Modeler to join their team. This resource will be a techno-functional resource with hands-on Databricks data modeling and data catalog experience who can help with: 1) Exploration of Source Data in Systems of Record, 2) Development of Data Models for Bronze / Silver / Gold (Medallion Architecture) with some needs for data harmonization, 3) Exploration of Use Cases with ability to develop Gold Model to support them for Business Intelligence, 4) Experience with Unity Catalog / Data Catalog, 5) Ability to explain designs to Data Engineers. This candidate will need to have around 10 years of experience within data-modeling and have hands-on experience supporting Databricks. and this role will focus loading developing data models that can be turned over to data engineering. One challenge will be in understanding SOR (System of Record) data models with little documentation. As a Utility Industry company, experience with Utility Industry models would help.

Requirements

• Around 10 years of experience within data-modeling
