About The Position

The Data Manager impacts students’ lives by working closely with the Directors of Curriculum and Instruction and the entire school leadership team to lead the use of academic performance data to highlight areas for improvement. This role independently oversees and manages the student information systems, ensuring that all data is accurate and readily accessible to school staff. The Data Manager provides thorough analysis and reporting of all student information (including attendance, discipline, communication, and student achievement data) to aid decision-making and classroom instruction. This role independently coordinates all state testing and internal interim testing, and independently completes all data reporting requirements for Crescent City Schools, including student schedules, student assessments, report cards, and state reporting. Additionally, the Data Manager plans and provides training and support for staff use of the student information systems and testing procedures, and collaborates with staff on student assessments, working closely with the Directors of Curriculum and Instruction to define and execute testing policies and procedures. The role also involves embodying, advocating, and operationalizing the mission, vision, and strategic direction of the school, and creating and maintaining a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.

Requirements

  • Believe in the mission and values of Crescent City Schools
  • Have experience analyzing student data and utilizing it to accelerate student achievement
  • Have excellent organizational and management skills, attention to detail, and accuracy of data
  • Can demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with multiple audiences
  • Can demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Have experience using Achievement Network, Power School, and Google apps
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

Responsibilities
