About The Position

Are you interested in a Co-Op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid intern opportunities at our site in Cleveland, OH. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a relevant field, such as: (Bio)Medical engineering, Computer Science/ IT, Data Science or Analytics, Clinical skills: basic understanding of human biology
  • Proficiency scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and Microsoft Office suite, database development/organization
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Curate and process clinical data coming into the company into our database.
  • Creating meaningful software tools to automatically process our clinical data. These tools range from proper data curation and cleaning to manipulating the data such that these can be utilized for advanced scientific projects.
  • Ensure incoming data is validated for compliance and of proper quality.
  • Structuring and organizing data files in a systematic way to improve accessibility and usability.
  • Assisting with the archiving or deletion of outdated and irrelevant data files
  • Assist with the creation of guidelines for quality assurance and data entry and processes.
  • Working with team members from clinical and engineering departments to support data-related projects and answer data queries.
