About The Position

Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) is focused on developing AI-powered consumer experiences using Meta's advanced models. This role is crucial for overseeing the entire lifecycle of data licensing agreements that support MSL's cutting-edge AI models and research. The Program Manager will collaborate with various teams including Business Development, Legal, Policy, Research, Engineering, and Finance to identify, assess, negotiate, and implement data licensing partnerships. The goal is to ensure MSL has access to the high-quality, diverse datasets necessary for its mission. The ideal candidate will possess strong program management skills, a solid understanding of data rights and licensing, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects efficiently. This individual should be a collaborative team player, capable of strategic planning and hands-on execution, handling sensitive negotiations and confidential information with discretion, and excelling in a fast-paced environment. Entrepreneurial thinking and a deep understanding of the AI data landscape are essential. This position is for a strategic, execution-focused program manager who can manage data licensing operations at the scale and speed required by a leading AI organization. This is a full-time role based in Menlo Park, CA.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in program management, business development, licensing, partnerships, or a related operational role within a technology or AI-focused organization
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex licensing, procurement, or partnership agreements, including cross-functional coordination with Legal, Finance, and technical teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear executive briefs, presentations, and recommendations
  • Experience working with data-intensive programs, including familiarity with data rights, intellectual property, content licensing, or data governance frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of building trust and driving alignment across diverse teams and external partners

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with AI/ML data licensing, training data procurement, or data partnerships in a research or product-oriented AI organization
  • Familiarity with the AI data ecosystem, including data marketplaces, content licensing models, synthetic data, and emerging regulatory frameworks around AI training data

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the end-to-end data licensing pipeline for MSL, from identifying data needs and sourcing potential partners to executing agreements and operationalizing data ingestion, ensuring timely access to critical training and evaluation datasets.
  • Serve as the central coordination point between MSL Research, Engineering, Business Development, Legal, Policy, Finance, and external data partners to align on data requirements, licensing terms, compliance obligations, and integration timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with data providers, content licensors, and third-party partners, managing ongoing performance, renewals, and escalations to maximize the value of licensing investments.
  • Partner with Legal and Policy teams to ensure all data licensing agreements comply with applicable regulations, internal data governance standards, and responsible AI practices, including data provenance, usage rights, and ethical sourcing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data licensing roadmap aligned to MSL's model development priorities, proactively identifying gaps, emerging data opportunities, and risks to inform leadership decision-making.
  • Prepare executive-level updates, dashboards, and briefing materials on licensing pipeline status, spend, risks, and strategic recommendations for MSL leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Design and continuously improve scalable processes, tools, and workflows for data licensing intake, evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding, driving operational efficiency across the program.
