About The Position

As a Data Governance Expert Consultant, your main responsibilities will be to contribute to the implementation and operationalization of the data governance program. Implementation will include the design and deployment of data management and governance components, supporting and ensuring the skill development of the data stewardship network, and maintaining sound data practices within the organization. More specifically, in the data domains related to Master Data Management (MDM). You will realize yourself in the following functions: Establish and govern the main axes of the company's data strategy and the data governance implementation plan, including the prioritization of critical data and the development of key data capabilities and domains (Client, Finance, etc.). Support, advise, and ensure the skill development of the data stewardship network in business sectors and corporate functions. Deploy the governance framework across the enterprise, with an emphasis on the implementation and support of the federated stewardship network. Contribute to the definition of roles and responsibilities, as well as the operating model for data management and governance activities within each federated data stewardship instance for the company's strategic assets. Participate in the design and deployment of the toolset related to the capability model and data management components to support the data stewardship network. Recommend solutions to resolve data incidents, including definition, usage, quality, or any other issue under the responsibility of senior management. Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to implement governance and management foundations for master data (MDM). Operationalize data governance and management according to the priorities of different sectors of the organization and our maturity targets.

Requirements

  • Hold a university degree in data science, business intelligence, or artificial intelligence (actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science) or another related field.
  • Accumulate a minimum of ten (10) years of overall experience in a data-related field such as IT, business intelligence, administration, law, actuarial science, statistics, or equivalent.
  • Accumulate a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in functions related to governance, data valorization, data protection, data management components, compliance, or operationalization of frameworks.
  • Possess expertise related to data management (protection and valorization), including data integrity, regulatory compliance, information security, risk management, and data lifecycle management.
  • Excellent knowledge of the data capability model and the interdependence of components.
  • Mastery of one or more data management methodologies and the ability to apply them across the enterprise.
  • Experience in defining and evolving business processes or in deploying training or awareness programs.
  • Expertise in enterprise master data governance and management. Particularly in coordinating stakeholders including business partners, data governance collaboration functions, and the stewardship network and its instances.
  • Proficiency in French, both oral and written, as well as intermediate proficiency in English, both oral and written, due to the nature of the tasks, work tools, or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.
