About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Data Governance Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity focused on enhancing strategic Data Management capabilities for Banking and Markets teams. The role involves developing and maintaining database solutions, utilizing Python and REST API integrations with Collibra, and supporting enterprise data governance initiatives. This hybrid position requires three days of onsite work per week.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional software development or data engineering experience
Python development with REST API integration
Advanced SQL and relational database design
Data governance platform experience, preferably Collibra Data Governance Center
Agile software development experience, Scrum or Kanban
Experience with AutoSys job scheduling
Linux/Unix expertise, sound knowledge of the command line interface
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data requirements
Experience designing, modeling, and implementing relational databases
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams
Self-starter who can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Passion for data governance, data quality, and continuous process improvement
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Able to work hybrid in Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite)

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance strategic Data Management capabilities using Python and REST API integrations with Collibra
Design, develop, and maintain database solutions supporting enterprise data governance initiatives
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements and resolve data-related issues
Support implementation and monitoring of data quality controls and metrics
Analyze data issues, identify root causes, and drive remediation efforts
Participate in Agile ceremonies, development planning, testing, and production support activities
Contribute to future modernization initiatives, including migration of data management solutions to cloud platforms
