About The Position
The Data Governance Analyst will support agency-wide data governance, data quality, metadata management, data sharing, and stewardship initiatives. The role will work with data owners, stewards, business teams, and Legal to ensure data is properly documented, protected, and governed.
Requirements
- 2+ years Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog or similar.
- 2+ years relationship management/data stewardship.
- 3+ years project oversight and decision-making/root-cause analysis.
- 4+ years critical thinking, communication, and time management.
- Experience with data governance, metadata, and data quality.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong collaboration, integrity, and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Data lineage experience is highly desired.
- Understanding of the data analysis lifecycle is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Support data governance policies, SOPs, and stewardship programs.
- Maintain data dictionaries, metadata, data catalogs, and Dataset Reference Sheets.
- Manage data quality rules and track data quality issues.
- Review and coordinate internal/external data sharing requests.
- Maintain audit trails and support Data Sharing Agreements.
- Support data classification, retention, access, and security requirements.
- Develop and deliver data governance and data literacy training.
- Create governance guides, templates, and job aids.
- Track governance KPIs, SLAs, and data quality metrics.
- Work with data owners, stewards, custodians, and program leaders.
- Support continuous improvement of the agency data governance framework.
