About The Position

Taylor Metal Products is seeking a reliable, full-time, long-term team member for a fast-paced, high-volume office environment. The Data Entry position processes customer orders for manufacturing according to customer specifications and quality expectations, and assists departments including sales, finance, administration, and marketing. The company hires at entry level and promotes from within; based on performance and strengths, the position may offer opportunities to move into sales, accounting, inventory management, or purchasing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and cloud-based computing.
• Typing skills and 10-key proficiency.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to compile, sort, and verify data accuracy.
• Good time-management skills and the ability to maintain productivity, including backing up other positions in the company.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to quickly and accurately enter customer orders into a cloud-based system.
• Multi-line phone skills.

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred.
• CRM software experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Review orders for completeness, accuracy, and other essential information.
• Accurately enter orders into the Enterprise CRM database.
• Enter orders into the schedule for production and delivery.
• Resolve or clarify errors and discrepancies with appropriate departments.
• Distribute completed documents to appropriate locations.
• Follow established administrative and clerical procedures.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist sales, finance, administration, and marketing departments as needed.
