About The Position

Enters data into computer or database system with accuracy and efficiency. Reviews discrepancies in data received, requests clarification or advises supervisor of issues related to data. Performs data verification routines in accordance with established procedures and deadlines to verify accuracy of entered data. Produces reports and printouts as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) for Data Entry Technician I.
  • One (1) year of data entry experience for Data Entry Technician I.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or one and one-half years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience for Data Entry Technician II.
  • Two (2) years of data entry experience for Data Entry Technician II.
  • One (1) year certificate from college or technical school; or one and one-half (1½) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience for Data Entry Technician III.
  • Three (3) years of data entry experience for Data Entry Technician III.
  • Knowledge of Database software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Ability to type 35 words per minute is required and must be verified by successfully completing a typing test.
  • Must have the ability to operate a computer and other general office equipment.
  • Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a data entry course is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Standards, Life Safety Codes, AAAHC, CARF and CVAAS Standards may be required as specified by hiring department.
