Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large data files.
  • Ability to process large volumes of information while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience reviewing and validating data for completeness and consistency.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and confidential handling of PHI.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare data, CMS requirements, or patient experience surveys is preferred.
  • Experience working with encrypted files, secure file transfers, and WinZip.
  • Experience performing quality assurance reviews or data audits is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately processing, entering, reviewing, and maintaining healthcare data used to support post-operative patient experience survey programs.
  • Working with high volumes of patient and client data while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and internal quality standards.
  • Processing and managing large volumes of data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Reviewing, validating, and maintaining data files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conducting audits of data processing activities to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and internal quality standards.
  • Training new employees on data processing procedures and best practices.
  • Providing customer support by resolving data file issues and answering client inquiries.
  • Ensuring compliance with CMS regulations while processing and validating healthcare data.
  • Performing quality assurance reviews to identify and correct data discrepancies.
  • Maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
  • Collaborating with the team to meet CMS reporting deadlines and client requirements.
  • Performing secure file uploads, downloads, and transmission validation to support client reporting.
  • Utilizing WinZip to securely receive, extract, and manage encrypted data files.
  • Monitoring data integrity and resolving inconsistencies to improve overall data quality.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of data processing activities and audit results.
  • Assisting with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in data management.
