About The Position

This position will support and maintain all demographic information for all of our regions and fields of service. The role involves data entry of patient demographics, responsible party, insurance, facility, and referring provider information, as well as any other details pertinent to patient billing and general information. A key responsibility includes contacting nursing homes to update patient addresses when statements are returned by mail, updating this information in the EMR, and re-mailing statements. Documentation of these actions in the EMR is required. The role also entails adding new facilities and referring providers into EMR master files, and obtaining NPIs for referring providers. The position requires delivering excellent customer service, working efficiently to meet deadlines, and actively supporting the compliance program, including reporting any suspected violations. Maintaining confidentiality of all information and adhering to HIPAA and PHI guidelines is crucial. For remote work, a reliable, high-speed internet connection is necessary, and any service interruptions must be reported to management. The role requires a positive attitude towards change and the ability to perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong Data entry and computer skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize workload.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service.
  • Individuals who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry of patient demographics/responsible party/insurance /facility/referring provider and any other information pertain to patient billing and general information.
  • Contacting nursing home for new POA address if patient statements have been returned by mail and then changing address in EMR and remailing statement to new address.
  • Documentation of this action must be recorded in EMR.
  • Adding any new facilities into EMR master files in appropriate office key.
  • Adding any new referring providers in EMR master files.
  • Obtaining NPI for referring provider.
  • Delivers excellent customer service to a wide variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Works timely to ensure workload is completed in a timely manner.
  • Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting suspected violations of law and Company policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information; abides with HIPAA and PHI guidelines at all times.
  • Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned.
