About The Position

As a Data Engineer in an AI Development pod at Ultimus, you ensure that AI solutions for each workflow—including models, analytics, and AI agents—have the right data in the right format at the right time. You work on workflow-specific data needs, building on the shared platform provided by the AI Infrastructure team. Ultimus AI Development teams are small, cross-functional groups that partner with operations experts to redesign fund administration workflows and develop supporting AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Map the data currently used by each workflow, including systems, files, emails, and spreadsheets, and design how AI solutions will access it.
• Build workflow-specific pipelines, integrations, and data models using Snowflake and the shared AI platform.
• Convert unstructured inputs such as statements, subscription documents, and Excel workbooks into structured data for models and agents.
• Set up data quality checks to ensure AI solutions use accurate and complete data, and fix data issues identified during testing.
• Contribute workflow data to the shared platform so it can be reused by other workflows.
