About The Position

As an AI Engineer in an AI Development pod at Ultimus, you will build AI solutions that support redesigned fund administration workflows, from initial prototype through production, using the shared Azure AI platform. The work includes generative AI applications, intelligent document processing, AI agents, and multi-agent workflows. You will collaborate with operations experts and cross-functional AI teams, initially working alongside AI partners in 2027 and then leading builds as part of an Ultimus pod.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered applications, including LLM assistants, document extraction solutions, AI agents, and multi-agent workflows that read documents, extract data, perform checks, and prepare work for human review.
• Connect AI solutions to company systems and data through APIs, MCP servers, and the shared AI platform.
• Build workflow logic, tool integrations, guardrails, and human review steps.
• Write automated tests and evaluations, and fix defects each sprint through testing with users.
• Take workflows through pilot and into production, then improve them as they scale across funds and clients.
• Work alongside AI partners in 2027 and then lead builds as part of an Ultimus pod.
