The Personalization team at Spotify is responsible for enhancing the user experience by making decisions about what content to play next more enjoyable. They are the creators behind popular features like Blend and Discover Weekly, leveraging their deep understanding of music and podcasts to serve millions of users. The Wrapped feature is a particularly iconic and beloved user experience, serving as a cultural moment that allows hundreds of millions of users to reconnect with their year's soundtrack. The Timeturners squad, within Spotify's Personalization Mission, provides the data infrastructure for Wrapped, building the datasets and systems that power personalized data stories for over 300 million users globally. As a Data Engineer on this team, you will collaborate with Data Scientists, engineers, music experts, and partner teams to transform listening behavior into meaningful, joyful, and highly personalized user experiences. Your work will involve evaluating new data story concepts and scaling pipelines that power AI-driven playlist experiences, ultimately shaping how millions of fans experience Wrapped each year. This is a fixed-term contract role scheduled from June through December 2026.
