About The Position

This role supports the analytics and data needs of Verily’s first-party solutions for research and care programs. It works broadly across the data stack in Verily’s Precision Health Platform, collaborating with Engineering and Data teams, developing a deep understanding of data sources, owning data modeling, and supporting Product and Analytics needs. The Data Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, maintains, and improves analytical data models and pipelines. The role contributes to cross-functional engineering efforts, manages project priorities and deliverables in an agile environment, and collaborates with engineers and analysts on technical designs and high-quality, performant data models.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent practical experience.
At least 4 years of experience with data architecture, data engineering, or analytics engineering, including SQL and ETL.
At least 2 years of experience with the dbt (data build tool) library.
Experience collaborating and prioritizing across a broad organization.
Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting software in the health care field.
Familiarity with object-oriented programming in a language such as Python or Go.
Experience mentoring analysts and engineers in SQL optimization and data best practices.
