Data Engineer II
About The Position
The Data Engineer II at Indeed integrates data from internal and external sources into common data mesh domain models to support data and analytics across the company’s global business functions. The role defines changes to data lake data models and builds scalable, efficient processes to populate or modify data lake data. This work supports insight into the global job market and product innovation that helps job seekers and employers find each other. The position designs and implements reliable, efficient ETL pipelines to integrate data into Indeed’s Data Warehouse, and implements data model changes that align with warehouse standards. It also provides documentation, training, and consulting for data warehouse users.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience; or a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience.
- Extensive experience working with relational, NoSQL, and SQL databases.
- Expertise in workflow orchestration and pipeline tools such as Airflow.
- Practical data processing and data modeling experience in a big data environment.
- Experience with data modeling, test automation, and building reliable, trusted, and efficient data pipelines.
