About the position
The Analytics team is seeking a highly skilled individual to join their team as a Data Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data analytics infrastructure, translating business requirements into data models, troubleshooting data issues, and collaborating with various teams to build data sets and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field, extensive experience in data architecture and data warehouse modeling, advanced knowledge of SQL, and excellent communication skills. Bonus points for experience with JSON data transformation, Python and Pyspark programming, and a background in banking or financial services.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, maintain, and optimize data transformation, data monitoring, and data cataloging processes
- Translate business requirements into data models that are easy to understand and used by different business teams
- Troubleshoot data issues and queries with business partners
- Work closely with engineering, risk, growth, product, and business intelligence teams to build data sets and dashboards
- Write and communicate end-user and technical documentation
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale and well-documented data marts
- Have advanced knowledge and extensive experience in SQL, preferably Snowflake
- Scale and optimize schemas, manage data infrastructure in Terraform, and automate and schedule jobs in Airflow
- Manage code changes in Github and understand CI/CD concepts
- Have experience with JSON data transformation (bonus point)
- Have experience with Python and Pyspark programming (bonus point)
- Have experience in banking, financial services, or fintech (bonus point)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with technical and business teams
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics or related field is preferred
- 4+ years of experience working in data architecture, data pipeline, data warehouse modeling, master data management
- Advanced knowledge and extensive experience in SQL (Snowflake is preferred)
- Experience in scaling and optimizing schemas, manage data infrastructure in Terraform, data warehouse modeling in dbt, performance tuning SQL in Snowflake, automate and schedule jobs in Airflow, manage code changes in Github, and understand CI/CD concepts
- Experience of design, develop and maintain large-scale and well-documented data marts to drive data insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively collaborate with technical and business teams
- Experience with JSON data transformation (bonus)
- Experience with Python and Pyspark programming (bonus)
- Experience in banking, financial services, or a fintech (bonus)
