About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Conversion Tech I to support the transition of patient medical records into our electronic health record (eRecord) system. In this role, you will review, convert, and validate clinical information to ensure data accuracy and completeness while maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and data integrity. The ideal candidate has experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs), strong data entry skills, and a solid understanding of medical terminology.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 yr prior experience in healthcare related field utilizing Electronic Medical Record system.
• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly to staff, physicians, patients and visitors.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in typing as well as data entry.

Nice To Haves

• Medical terminology course preferred
• 1 yr Prior experience as a nurse or medical assistant with clinical data entry responsibilities and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Convert patient data from hospital’s current medical record system into eRecord.
• Review clinical data to ensure conversion accuracy and medical record completeness.
• Update patient demographic information as necessary.
• Perform various clerical/support functions in conjunction with the completion and processing of all types of records including electronic.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
