About The Position

The data conversion tech is responsible to convert patient data from hospital’s current medical record system into eRecord. Reviews clinical data to ensure conversion accuracy and medical record completeness. Updates patient demographic information as necessary. Performs various clerical/support functions in conjunction with the completion and processing of all types of records including electronic. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• 1 yr prior experience in healthcare related field utilizing Electronic Medical Record system.
• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly to staff, physicians, patients and visitors.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in typing as well as data entry.

Nice To Haves

• 1 yr Prior experience as a nurse or medical assistant with clinical data entry responsibilities and medical terminology.
