About The Position

The Data Conversion Specialist is a technical support role that uses SQL skills and advanced Microsoft Excel skills to support Implementation Consultants and Paylocity’s electronic data conversion function across Payroll and HR. The role combines technical ability, payroll knowledge, creativity, and a can-do attitude to convert new companies onto the Paylocity payroll processing platform. This is a 100% in-office position at a Paylocity location in Schaumburg, Illinois. Remote and hybrid work are not available. Candidates must work on-site five days per week during designated work hours.

Nice To Haves

Three to five years of experience working with payroll data preferred.
Knowledge of Access and SQL databases.
Basic SQL skills.
Experience with SQL Server.

Responsibilities

Respond to internal and external requests during implementation.
Work directly with clients to coordinate and schedule electronic data extraction.
Convert time clocks, history—including check detail, rate, and position—and custom data extractions.
Use Microsoft Excel, SQL Server, and Paylocity data conversion tools to research issues and update customer databases.
Review and format client-supplied data for accuracy before uploading.
Ensure data from previous providers is successfully extracted and formatted for Web Pay.
Pull data based on the products purchased by the client, using a holistic approach.
Analyze and define mapping rules.
Assist with data cleanup when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
