About The Position

This position is responsible for performing the Salvage line and whole bird line CCP monitoring checks and assist in the salvaging process. This position is responsible for performing the CCP monitoring checks for the HACCP program. Specifically performing and recording temperature and fecal checks on salvage parts. Perform checks on IP, wash out, and airsac salvage vats. This position is responsible for knowing the procedures to salvage IP, washout, and gall birds. Therefore, one must be able to identify IP, airsac, gal, and washout deficiencies. This position is also responsible for performing presentation checks for the evisceration department as required in the USDA NELS guidelines. This position will also assist in salvaging birds on the salvage line as directed by the supervisor. This position must be able to lift seventy-pound tubs, and any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Must be able to complete Tyson paperwork with accurate and legible entries
Must be able to read materials, documents, and records related to production and quality
Must be able to perform simple math calculations using a calculator
Must be able to communicate work-related information with supervisors and other team members
Must be able to read and write English
Must be able to lift seventy-pound tubs
