About The Position

Dexis is seeking a Data Collector IV to support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program. The project provides data collection, technical writing, computer operations, range scheduling, and administrative support services necessary to execute the government’s test mission. Support encompasses testing of a wide variety of automotive, combat, electronic, general equipment, and ordnance materiel, with services including data collection and coordination, data compilation and processing, development and management of data collection forms, test monitoring, technical writing and editorial review, reporting, data and software administration, range scheduling, and related operational support. The Data Collector IV develops and delivers structured training for data collection personnel and provides technical assistance with data collection procedures, policies, hardware, and software. The role also provides hands-on data collection support across lower levels when needed to address urgent personnel requirements. Work will be performed primarily onsite in Aberdeen, Maryland, with travel to other locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) as required by mission needs. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a technical area and two (2) years of experience performing data collection involving military or nonmilitary equipment and associated maintenance concepts; OR four (4) years of experience performing data collection involving military or nonmilitary equipment and associated maintenance concepts.
  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher in each individual discipline of math and science and a GPA of 3.0 or higher in high school English or a GPA of 2.5 or higher in college English from an accredited high school or university.
  • Must possess a high school diploma.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned functions, which may include working in extreme heat or cold, high humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, at heights, and walking distances over unimproved terrain while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be available to support work outside normal duty hours when required by mission needs.
  • Must be willing and able to travel within CONUS and OCONUS as required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a structured data collection curriculum to train new data collection personnel.
  • Provide training to employees and other personnel on data collection procedures and policies for work performed in Aberdeen and at other test locations.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable hardware and software, including ODIN and Microsoft Office, to assist junior employees when technical problems arise.
  • Perform Data Collector I, II, and III functions as required to support urgent personnel shortfalls.
  • Perform job functions at sites other than Aberdeen as required.
