About The Position
Join us as a Data Cloud Engineer where you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our data transformation platforms. You'll be responsible for maintaining platform uptime, delivering stakeholder-driven enhancements, and building scalable, secure GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support infrastructure deployments. Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Dataproc, Databricks and data integration workflows
- Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in GCP
- Solid understanding of GCP networking (VPCs, firewall rules, Cloud VPN, Private Service Connect, DNS, Load Balancing)
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, or equivalent DevOps tooling
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, or similar tools
- Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, service accounts, Secret Manager, organization policies).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in Data Platform teams highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Working as part of a team that is responsible for the uptime of data transformation platforms, as well any feature requests that are being fed in by our stakeholders
- Building scalable and reliable Gitlab CICD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
- Identifying areas for improvement in the current set-up, suggesting ideas to make it more stable and secure
- Working in collaboration with data engineers, developers, and security teams; documenting standards and mentoring junior team members
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation for the platform, as well as thoroughly documenting and showcasing any new features built
- Participating in OOH support call-out rota
