About The Position

The Principal Cloud Data Engineer is a hands-on role and will liaise with product org and PO/PM to design, build and maintain reliable, scalable data products/data pipelines and core data platform components that power analytics, ML, and applications. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality data across the organization.

Requirements

7+ years of data engineering/ development experience.
Strong hands-on skills with Python, SQL, Spark, or cloud-native data processing tools.
Experience with data lakes, lakehouses, or cloud-based warehouses.
Knowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage, and governance frameworks.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong verbal communication skills; strong writing and composition abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective and professional relationships across the organization and with customers.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills; consultative and collaborative work style.
High learning agility with the ability to learn and integrate business variables and learn new systems and platforms.
Strong analytical skills & problem-solving abilities; solid decision-making abilities coupled with sound judgment.
Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain high-throughput data pipelines and ingestion workflows.
Implement transformation logic, data quality checks, and governance frameworks.
Collaborate with platform architecture and product teams to support the foundational data platform roadmap.
Optimize data flows for performance, cost, and reliability.
Monitor platform health and troubleshoot ingestion or processing issues.
Build reusable components that scale across markets and business units.
Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
Performs related duties as assigned by management.
