About The Position
Lenovo is hiring a Thermal Architect for its Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP). CSP is a fast-paced, customer-centric organization that adapts to changing market demands. The role develops thermal solutions for rack-mounted server and storage products and is part of the System Architecture team. Lenovo’s CSP solutions are designed, built, and deployed worldwide.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Platform (system-level) experience.
- 12 or more years of thermal design experience.
- Experience with server/storage systems and their components.
- Experience with Flotherm and thermal design tools, including PTC Creo and Pro/E.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree.
- Liquid cooling experience.
- Experience working with or interacting with multinational and cross-functional teams.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office applications such as Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Understand current and future thermal design technologies and trends.
- Understand and model thermal solutions for new concepts and designs in Flotherm for server, GPU, and storage platforms.
- Develop thermal specifications for suppliers.
- Work with suppliers and Lenovo’s development team to execute and develop thermal designs.
- Work with Lenovo Global Supply Chain to optimize design cost.
- Advise and consult with Lenovo’s development team on resolving technical issues.
- Engage directly with customers, present effectively, build connections, and understand customer needs.
