This is a 24/7/365 position on-site in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves hardware installation and decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure, as well as fixing and repairing data center hardware and networking infrastructure within Service Level Agreements (SLA). Responsibilities include rack and stack of data center equipment, landing racks, cabling, powering up servers, and handing them off to internal provisioning teams. The technician will handle daily work through internal tooling systems like JIRA and Confluence, perform problem-solving with some assistance, document activities, and adhere strictly to SOPs. The role also includes inventory management (receiving, tracking, and shipping equipment), installing, labeling, and fixing fiber/copper/telecom cables and patch panel systems, understanding local site requirements, providing handover reports, and offering on-call emergency support. Participation in training to bridge skill gaps and learn new technologies is expected, along with supporting and receiving direction from senior team members. The role requires exercising judgment within defined policies and processes, analyzing situations, and developing professional expertise. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
