About The Position

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support the installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data center environments. The role is suited to technicians with experience in data center operations, telecommunications, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure who can independently perform standard deployment and operational tasks. Work includes rack-and-stack activities, structured cabling installations, equipment provisioning, testing, and operational support, completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with Ericsson and customer standards. The position is based in the Washington National Area and requires willingness and ability to travel 50%–100% of the time.

Requirements

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and methods of procedure (MOPs).
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation activities with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, project teams, vendors, and customers while managing assigned work independently.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50%–100% of the time.
• Ability to work on ladders or elevated work platforms and comply with applicable safety requirements and certifications.
