This is a 24/7/365 position on-site in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves daily job duties such as hardware installation and decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure, fixing and repairing data center hardware and networking infrastructure within Service Level Agreements (SLA), and racking and stacking data center equipment. The technician will also be responsible for landing racks, cabling, powering up servers, and handing them off to internal provisioning teams. Daily work will be managed through internal tooling systems like JIRA and Confluence. The position requires performing moderately complex problem-solving with some assistance, documenting activities, and adhering strictly to SOPs. Inventory management, including receiving, tracking, and shipping data center equipment, is also a key responsibility. The role involves installing, labeling, and fixing fiber/copper/telecom cables and patch panel systems, understanding and aligning with local site requirements, and ensuring punctuality and proper handover reports. On-call emergency support is required at predetermined times. The technician will participate in training to bridge skill gaps and learn new technologies, support and receive direction from senior team members, and accomplish standard assignments independently by exercising judgment within defined policies and processes. The role involves working on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations and data requires reviewing a variety of factors, and developing professional expertise by applying company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
