About The Position

Under general direction, the Data Center Senior Facilities Technician maintains, repairs, and operates data center cooling and electrical systems. Equipment includes raised-floor HVAC units, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, generators, electrical distribution switchgear, UPS systems, battery strings, and power distribution units. The role supports critical infrastructure in a technical data center environment across multiple locations.

The position is scheduled for night shift, with three 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift each week. The posting describes this as a consistent full-time schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• HVAC license or certification is listed under preferred requirements.
• IT Infrastructure Library certification is listed under preferred requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform predictive and preventive maintenance on multiple types of HVAC and electrical equipment in data center environments at multiple locations.
• Operate, install, and calibrate building management and other control/PLC systems.
• Install and troubleshoot basic three-phase electrical circuits.
• Install and remove data center power whips.
• Perform advanced problem solving and repair of critical and non-critical equipment, including UPS, PDU, emergency generators, fuel oil systems, circuit breakers, substations, and computer room air conditioning units.
• Assist in capacity planning for electrical and cooling systems in facilities.
