About The Position

WSP is seeking a Lead Consultant for its Data Center Center of Excellence, which focuses exclusively on data centers and supports leading AI and cloud infrastructure companies. The role provides high-level technical assistance and guidance for multi-site and multi-phase due diligence, design, development, construction, testing, and inspection of plumbing systems on public- and private-sector infrastructure, building, and construction projects. The position covers research, design, planning, installation, operation, maintenance, and integration of plumbing, fire suppression and protection, and fluid-flow systems and equipment. The engineer substantiates reports, documentation, and decisions related to installation, materials, construction, and operating specifications, and ensures work meets or exceeds applicable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality. The Lead Consultant participates from project inception through completion, coordinating plumbing design and construction across new builds, rehabilitation, and reconstruction projects. The role also guides cross-functional teams, coordinates with owners, architects, clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and other professionals, and supports proposal and business-development opportunities. Occasional travel may be required, and work schedules may extend beyond the typical workweek to meet project-specific requirements.
