About The Position

Sabey Data Centers is recruiting a Data Center Maintenance Technician to join their team on-site in East Wenatchee, WA. This is a hands-on role where you’ll keep a state-of-the-art data center running at its best - maintaining HVAC systems, supporting electrical and mechanical equipment, and ensuring peak facility performance. This is a great opportunity to build hands-on technical expertise in a mission-critical environment while contributing to the operations of a leading national data center provider. Hours are Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm. The Data Center Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and peak performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within the data center facility. This role is essential in ensuring stable environmental conditions that support seamless data center operations. Technicians will work outdoors in all weather conditions and must be self-motivated, proactive, and effective team players. In addition to HVAC maintenance, technicians may be assigned other duties as needed.

  • Aptitude and willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive cleaning of HVAC systems, including air handling units, ductwork, filters, coils, fans, and condensers.
  • Replace air filters according to scheduled maintenance plans to maintain optimal air quality and system functionality.
  • Inspect and clean condenser coils to improve air conditioning efficiency and prevent performance degradation.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on evaporator and condenser coils to mitigate issues related to dirt accumulation and airflow obstruction.
  • Maintain and clean ventilation components, including ductwork and exhaust systems, to ensure unimpeded airflow.
  • Regularly inspect ventilation systems to prevent obstructions and optimize temperature control and air circulation.
  • Maintain accurate logs of HVAC maintenance activities, including schedules, tasks performed, and system inspections.
  • Generate detailed reports to track HVAC equipment status, maintenance history, and compliance with operational protocols.
  • Work closely with data center operations teams to align HVAC maintenance efforts with environmental and operational requirements.
  • Assist with HVAC system installations, upgrades, and related infrastructure projects to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Follow all safety protocols and best practices, including the proper handling of HVAC equipment and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Foster a culture of safety within the data center environment by promptly identifying and reporting any potential hazards or safety concerns.
  • Interface with technology and operate digital tools.
  • Adhere to Company information security policies and standards by safeguarding confidential data, protecting access credentials, completing all required trainings on time, and taking immediate action to report potential security threats or breaches.
