About The Position

This role is responsible for deploying physical plant cabling systems and coordinating infrastructure implementation efforts for Oracle data centers. The engineer will collaborate with Program Management teams to ensure project deliverables are completed on time and work with vendors to deliver the build-out of data center infrastructure. The position involves implementing structured cabling solutions for new data center builds and expansions, troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, and developing sustainable solutions for continuous improvement of data centers. Project planning includes reviewing Bills of Materials, resources, and project roadmaps, while prioritizing customer experience. Responsibilities also include reporting on project updates, documenting vendor progress, and creating/maintaining documentation on cabling and build standards. Vendor management includes participating in the bidding and selection process and developing collaborative relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

Attends vendor business reviews to report on team's project updates and document vendor progress and roadblocks.
Creates and maintains documentation on cabling and build standards for data center infrastructure.
Participates in the vendor bidding and selection process.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
Manages and coordinates moderately complex tasks, monitoring timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion and adherence to requirements for a moderately-sized project or initiative.
Efficiently delegates, monitors, and prioritizes work across multiple projects, providing technical oversight and adjusting plans to address shifts in resources or timelines.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
