About The Position

Sabey Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join their team in Quincy, WA. This role involves working closely with the Data Center Operations Manager and cross-functional teams to lead infrastructure upgrades, manage change orders, and coordinate with vendors to optimize performance. The position is key in ensuring that projects stay on track, within scope, and on budget. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm PST or 7am – 4pm PST. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Understanding of project plans and specifications required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, without compromising quality of work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the implementation of building infrastructure with mission critical or data center experience preferred
  • Proficiency in construction management/scheduling software and thorough knowledge of computer software applications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage tenant improvement projects, SDC projects, and act as a liaison with SCI and property management
  • Apply expertise in complex electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS systems, stand-by power, thermodynamics, air psychometrics, and energy conservation
  • Develop and manage detailed budgets and schedules from preliminary concept plans to project completion
  • Conduct cost estimation for complex projects
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the project management process
  • Manage and supervise multiple design partners, contractors, and trades
  • Develop, review, implement, and enforce Methods of Procedures (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all critical work activities
  • Lead and facilitate design and construction meetings with external professionals, internal Sabey employees, and external Sabey customers
  • Foster collaboration between external professionals and internal Sabey personnel
  • Oversee the bid process and negotiation of change orders
  • Maintain and enforce a safe work environment
  • Provide ongoing support and collaboration with the SDC team
