About The Position

Equinix is seeking a Data Center Expense Advisor to support purchasing operations and financial processes in a fast-paced environment. The role helps ensure seamless procurement and financial accountability while collaborating with business, finance, Data Center teams, vendors, and Accounts Payable. It supports purchase requisitions and purchase order quality, commitment tracking and reporting, expense-related invoice resolution, and compliance with purchasing requirements.

Requirements

Two years of related experience preferred.
Finance or Accounting background preferred.

Responsibilities

Create purchase requisitions for country or regional expenses within a limited scope.
Monitor purchase order quality and provide KPI reporting to improve the process.
Work with requestors to ensure purchase orders are receipted correctly and promptly.
Update commitment values against purchase orders and, with Operations Finance/General Ledger, assess commitments not made against budget.
Ensure purchase requests comply with the 5 W’s and include required contracts, legal approvals, accounting codes, and competitive bids.
Contact vendors for invoices when necessary.
Resolve billing and invoice problems related to country or regional expenses.
Run and provide purchase order commitment reports to Data Center teams.
Navigate the commitment tracking report, update purchase order information, and reallocate funds when communicated by Data Center teams.
Serve as a key vendor contact for query resolution, working closely with Accounts Payable.
Act as a link between the business and finance to meet commitments.
