About The Position

We are seeking a Data Architect with expertise in GCP, BigQuery, and Power BI to assess the client's data landscape and design an end-to-end GCP platform. This platform will cover ingestion, GCS landing, BigQuery, transformations, semantic models, and Power BI. The role involves defining scalable architecture, security, governance, cost controls, and delivery standards, as well as presenting trade-offs and guiding implementation.

Requirements

• 10+ years in data engineering/architecture
• 4+ years designing GCP data platforms
• Expert BigQuery modelling, partitioning/clustering, performance, and cost/slot management
• Dimensional modelling, SCD and layered data architecture
• GCP Ingestion and Processing: GCS, Dataflow, DataStream, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer and Cloud Run/Functions
• Ingest REST APIs, spreadsheets, semi-structured and HTML data
• Deep PostgreSQL CDC/logical replication and TB-scale migration
• Strong SQL and Data form or dbt
• Power BI Architecture: Semantic models, Import/Direct Query/Composite choices, gateways, incremental refresh, RLS and BigQuery performance
• Governance and Delivery: IAM, VPC Service Controls, KMS/CMEK, policy tags and Dataplex
• Terraform, CI/CD, architecture documentation, HA/DR and stakeholder workshops
