About The Position

Technical Diagnostic Services (TDS), a TechPro Power Group company, is seeking highly skilled Electrical Commissioning Field Service Technicians to support large Data Center projects in the Atlanta, Georgia area. TDS has over 25 years of experience providing industry-leading service solutions for the safe start-up and optimization of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in various industrial markets. This role involves performing acceptance testing for electrical equipment, using hand and power tools, collaborating with internal teams and customers, and adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Expertise in switchgear maintenance, troubleshooting, and breaker installation.
Strong electrical aptitude, understanding of power systems and problem-solving skills.
Thorough understanding of LDL, L2, L3 inspections and testing procedures.
Proficiency in secondary injection testing of breakers and PT/CT wiring installations.
Familiarity with bus installations, meter configurations, and control wiring.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Hands-on experience with testing and maintenance tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.).
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and providing technical support.
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide timely resolutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in low to medium voltage switchgear installation, testing, and maintenance, preferably in industrial, utility, and/ or data center environments.
Knowledge of industry-specific electrical code, regulations, and related safety standards/ protocols (OSHA, NFPA 70E).
Lift, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
Climb ladders, staircases, step stools, stand, walk, sit, and operate vehicles for extended periods.
Bend, stoop, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours.
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including intense heat/cold, muddy, and wet environments.
Perform precision tasks with instruments and fittings.
Communicate verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Performing the necessary Acceptance Testing for electrical equipment within Data Center Facilities.
Safely use hand and power tools, metering & testing equipment, and precision instruments.
Collaborate with internal team members & customers/ end-users to complete projects within defined timelines.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Daily reporting and documentation of work performed.
Willingness to travel to various project sites within the U.S.
