About The Position

As Google expands its global infrastructure, we are searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Program Lead to join our Data Center Construction team. In this role, you will play a key part in bringing our data centers to life. You will manage a fast paced, national level program. You will manage various aspects of data center projects, from initial concept and design through to construction and deployment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget while meeting our high standards for quality and efficiency. Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program or project management.
5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project management, engineering, and construction of data centers or facilities.
5 years of experience with electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, or infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
5 years of experience with equipment/environments.
Experience managing vendor relationships and an understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast-track design-build processes.
Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to gather requirements, organize resources, prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and achieve objectives within defined goals.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple data center projects from inception to completion, overseeing all phases, including concept development, design, construction, and deployment.
Gather and analyze internal requirements, translating them into effective solutions that meet the needs of our data center operations teams.
Work effectively within an organization, collaborating with cross-functional partners, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
Analyze and evaluate complex construction challenges, developing creative solutions that minimize impact on project timelines and costs.
