Under general supervision, operates and controls all computing equipment relative to infrastructure and application processing. This role involves operating computers and peripheral equipment, controlling application processing across all platforms adhering to production schedules, and completing batch job and infrastructure setup requirements. The operator will update processing logs and audit trails, keep records of utilization, and develop and review Knowledge Management documentation. They must be available to work any shift and schedule. Responsibilities include analyzing production control procedures, rerunning and restarting production to ensure timely service levels, and communicating the status of software, hardware, and application processing. Participation in disaster recovery is also a key function, including executing OCC/Operator functions and operating equipment at the Business Recovery site. The role requires creating, updating, and resolving incidents via the corporate Incident Management Tool and taking corrective action as defined in operating procedures. Monitoring of OCC systems, application consoles, and batch processing using various tools like CA-7, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, and DCRUM is essential. System health checks, including server health, virus/malware monitoring, and holiday call center testing, are also part of the duties. The operator will update metrics, respond to Priority 1 and 2 incidents, field phone calls, and perform monitoring, triage, and escalation of issues.
