Data Center Cleaning Technician I
About The Position
The Data Center Cleaning Technician I helps maintain operational excellence and cleanliness standards in controlled environments. The role involves meticulously cleaning ceilings, walls, equipment, floors, and other surfaces in general and critical data center environments to meet strict cleanliness guidelines. The technician follows customer procedures and documentation requirements, monitors work for timely and correct completion, identifies cleaning deviations, and supports corrective and preventative actions. The position also involves ongoing training and helping cross-train other Controlled Contamination Services personnel.
Requirements
- Become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
- Ability to learn and understand Scope of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Pass a background check and I-9.
- High school diploma or GED, one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s, including applying these operations to American money and weight, volume, and distance measurements.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines.
- Monitor cleaning procedures to ensure work is completed promptly and correctly.
- Participate in continuous training covering data center work, technical skills, safety, and performance improvement.
- Micro-clean surfaces in general and critical environments, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors.
- Follow customer Standard Operating Procedures precisely, including documentation requirements.
- Identify cleaning deviations and follow through on corrective and preventative actions.
- Review changes to SOP/SOW documentation and retrain as needed.
- Assist in cross-training other Controlled Contamination Services personnel.
- Perform other duties as defined by the supervisor.
