About The Position

VTG is seeking an experienced Data Architect to support a customer through data engineering and operations, software engineering, security engineering, DevOps engineering, application development, data science, and program management. The work supports data acquisition, exploitation, engineering, and management tasks. The role requires communicating and collaborating across organizational boundaries, including with other contractor teams, customer staff, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure and data management.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple operating system environments, including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud environments, including AWS.
• Demonstrated experience with development environments and technologies including AWS, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Demonstrated experience conducting data processing activities.
• Experience working with Python.
• Demonstrated experience building and executing ETL pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience integrating data flows with industry-standard systems such as Niagra Falls.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be a proactive problem solver.
• Experience providing clear and concise communications for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of targeting workflows, tools, and environments.
• Experience with Large Language Models and agentic workflows.
• Experience with graphical databases such as Neo4J.
• Experience working in a hard target mission area.
