About The Position

The Data and Reporting Manager joins the Business Solutions - Data & Reporting team and delivers business intelligence, analytics, reporting and data governance solutions to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. Working with senior stakeholders, Business Services teams, Operations, IT and the central Data & Analytics function, the role enhances reporting capabilities, improves data quality, identifies opportunities for automation and innovation, and develops insights that support business performance. The role also contributes to adoption of emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics. The role develops and maintains Power BI dashboards, reports and portals; translates stakeholder reporting needs into data and analytics solutions; analyses datasets; optimises SQL queries; produces management information; and supports business projects and technology initiatives. It also promotes clear data visualisation and contributes to data governance frameworks, policies and practices.

Requirements

Proven experience developing reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions, including advanced Power BI capability.
Excellent technical knowledge of data structures, SQL, reporting methodologies and data visualisation best practices.
Demonstrable experience identifying opportunities for automation, digital improvement and technology-enabled business solutions.
Good understanding of data governance, data quality and information security principles.
Proven ability to engage, influence and build relationships with stakeholders across a professional services environment.
Experience within the trust and corporate services industry, together with a degree and/or relevant professional qualification.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports and reporting portals that deliver meaningful business insights.
Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to understand reporting requirements and translate them into data and analytics solutions.
Collaborate with IT and Data & Analytics teams to ensure reporting solutions are accurate, secure, scalable and aligned with business needs.
Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks and performance insights that support informed decision-making.
Design and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform and prepare data from multiple systems and data sources.
Identify and implement process improvement, automation and workflow optimisation opportunities using reporting, analytics and low-code technologies.
Produce high-quality management information and reporting for senior leadership teams and key stakeholders.
Support business projects, system implementations and technology initiatives by embedding reporting and data requirements from inception through delivery.
Create clear and engaging data visualisations for technical and non-technical audiences.
Contribute to data governance frameworks, policies and best practices that promote effective use of data across the organisation.
