About The Position

The Business Reporting and Data Manager is part of Bank of America’s Investment Solutions Group (ISG) COO group, supporting business management and performance reporting for Specialist teams and the overall ISG data strategy. The role helps develop and support data infrastructure for reporting and analytics, including preparing data for AI use, and develops and maintains reporting solutions using Alteryx and Tableau. The position collaborates with business, technology, and other stakeholders to improve data quality, accessibility, governance, and scalability, and to turn business questions into actionable insights.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in financial services or consulting providing data and reporting solutions.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams with appropriate stakeholders.
• Ability to design, create, and manage database schemas integrating multiple data sources and systems for efficient storage and seamless integration with user-facing applications.
• Extensive experience coding in SQL.
• Ability to work with large datasets to synthesize and analyze information, form insights on business results, and identify opportunities.
• Experience with data mining, aggregation, analysis, and visualization tools such as Alteryx and Tableau.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Exposure to machine learning or predictive AI technologies.
• Experience in Salesforce Lightning and CRM Analytics design and administration.
• Experience with Python and/or R, and running SQL across multiple RDBMS technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, and DB2.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute business initiatives and processes in partnership with stakeholders.
• Solve complex problems and deliver initiatives by applying subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of the business.
• Engage with stakeholders, partners, and business leadership to deliver business objectives.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify business opportunities, derive insights, and measure outcomes.
• Develop strategic and tactical plans to advance business goals and objectives.
• Support reporting routines across Specialist teams and design, develop, and implement reporting for new sales initiatives and campaigns.
• Write queries and pull data for reporting workflows and ad hoc requests from Specialists and other ISG lines of business.
• Work with ISG lines of business to develop or enhance datasets for business reporting.
• Design and build Tableau dashboards for ongoing reporting needs and enhance existing dashboards.
• Prepare ad hoc reports for senior leadership about team activities and the impact of sales initiatives and campaigns.
• Partner with business and technology teams to develop and enhance data pipelines and data governance processes that improve reporting dataset quality, accessibility, and scalability.
• Create informative, interactive visualizations that communicate complex data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into scalable data-driven solutions by identifying, sourcing, validating, and analyzing data.
