About The Position

The Data and Business Analyst is responsible for generating and analyzing routine, ad-hoc, and automated reports for internal and external business needs. They must also verify data accuracy and maintain business intelligence applications. Data and Business Analysts must coordinate closely with IT to ensure that reports and data analysis are properly constructed based on business requests. They will provide business performance insights by creating visual presentations to allow management to make strategic decisions. Company: Telrite Holdings, Inc. is a privately held telecom headquartered in Covington, GA approximately 30 miles east of downtown Atlanta with a secondary office located in Marietta, GA housing our IT and technical operations. Our brands include PureTalk, H2O and Life Wireless and provide wireless services to a broad national customer spectrum utilizing the nation’s largest GSM networks. Requirements

  • 4-year degree with a major preferably in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science or Statistics
  • 1 to 2-years’ experience in data and business analysis or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SQL, PostgreSQL, and data visualization programs (e.g., Tableau/Sisense/Superset)
  • Must be able to collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information
  • Strong problem solving-skills: ability to break a problem into components and understand how to test each component
  • Data first philosophy but can also make decisions in ambiguous situations
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, be able to prioritize workload, manage time, and present deliverables on time
  • Must be able to work with large amounts of data from multiple sources: facts, figures, and number crunching. Need to see through the data and analyze/research it to find conclusions
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to speak clearly and easily communicate complex ideas when presenting findings translated into an understandable document along with communicate effectively within and across teams

Responsibilities

  • Utilize software such as, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Superset, and other data visualization programs for creating reports, calculations, and managing databases
  • Responsible for retrieving, compiling, validating, and analyzing crucial data using SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Collaborate with IT department to manage and update reporting systems, create automations, and verify backend database logic to maintain the accuracy and timely delivery of data point and reports
  • Calculate and/or validate monthly commission payouts (i.e., spiffs, special incentives, residuals, etc.)
  • Conduct analysis to track the success and effectiveness of new product, pricing strategies, sales measures, and other initiatives
  • Conduct and manage various routine and ad-hoc projects, analysis, and reports as needed to support business decision making
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns including fraudulent behavior
  • Help other teams and partners understand business performance and goal achievement through reporting
  • Collect, verify accuracy, and analyze all raw data related to the wireless business
  • Identify opportunities to create and enhance the reporting of key milestones, dashboards and efficiency measures (turnover, cost of turnover, productivity, etc.)
