Data and Billing Coordinator - Pediatric Clinic
About The Position
St. Francis Medical Center is a leading healthcare institution in Los Angeles, providing vital healthcare services to the community. The Data and Billing Coordinator will be responsible for gathering, reviewing, and approving internal billing claims, setting up and verifying insurance account information, and preparing related billing claims data reports. This role also involves coordinating Medical billing claims submission via electronic data interface (EDI), acting as a liaison with LA County- Dept. of Mental Health (LAC-DMH) and Medi-Cal, and tracking/monitoring billing claims and approvals. Additionally, the coordinator will provide monthly report analysis to the Department Director and assist in preparing year-end final reports. The position also entails coordinating activities related to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) application, including user training, maintenance, application enhancement, developing new reports, and problem-solving, serving as a liaison with the software vendor and lead trainer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Working knowledge of Medi-Cal and/or third-party billing and reimbursement
- Knowledge of billing requirements and collection regulations for Federal, State, and local agencies and third-party submissions
