About The Position
The Data Analytics Coordinator plays a supporting role as a steward of PRPA's data warehouses, from data ingestion through to the creation and maintenance of reports. They are responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of data used for various activities from infrastructure planning to business development.
Requirements
- College diploma in Analytics, Computer Science Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Information Technology.
- Three to five years' experience in the industry
- Experience with reporting tools and software including SSRS, PowerBI, Informatica.
- Experience with SSIS or other data ingestion and transformation tools.
- Experience using Safe FME for processing geospatial data.
- Experience with report writing, organizing, and presenting data in support of decision making
- Demonstrates statistical and empirical analytical skills
- Familiar with the transportation and logistics industry
- Demonstrates ability to learn new skills and acquire industry knowledge
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with an analytical eye
- Superior judgment and tact in dealing with sensitive issues and confidential information.

- Able to obtain security clearance under Transport Canada's Security Clearance Program.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices is an asset
- Knowledge of ETL methodologies, T-SQL and ArcGIS is an asset
Responsibilities
- PRPA's primary data steward for all forms of data, including geospatial (GIS) data, which support day-to-day operations at PRPA.
- Load data assets into PRPA’s data warehouses following best practices.
- Support and maintain PRPA’s data warehouse.
- Maintenance of reports and dashboards.
- Training of PRPA staff in end user reporting tools available for accessing PRPA’s data.
