2027 Summer Internship Program - Data Analyst
About The Position
The CareSource Intern supports special projects, initiatives, and activities that vary by assignment. This is a 12-week, paid summer internship for college students to gain practical experience and prepare for a career after college. Interns may work on projects with company impact, attend career seminars with CareSource leaders, receive mentoring, connect with former interns, and build skills in a flexible on-site, hybrid, or remote environment. The Data Analyst intern supports data integrity, accuracy, and quality initiatives by analyzing datasets, identifying anomalies, and helping ensure data flows accurately across business processes. The role investigates data-quality issues and discrepancies, assists with data cleanup and process improvement, queries and analyzes data using SQL and other techniques, and applies Python and automation to streamline analysis and recurring data-quality activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current rising junior or senior in an accredited degree program, or graduated within the last six months.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Effective listening and critical-thinking skills.
- Dependability, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidential information.
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Support data integrity, accuracy, and quality initiatives by analyzing datasets and identifying anomalies.
- Help ensure data flows accurately across business processes.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on data-quality issues and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with data cleanup and process-improvement projects.
- Use SQL and other analytical techniques to query, validate, and analyze data.
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve data accuracy.
- Apply Python and automation techniques to streamline data analysis, reduce manual processes, and improve recurring data-quality activities.
