Data Analyst Fiber Infrastructure / Project Reporting
About The Position
The Data Analyst will support fiber infrastructure projects in the Phoenix market by organizing project and vendor information and turning it into clear, useful reporting for project leadership. The role works directly with the hiring manager and project management team as the organization expands underground fiber infrastructure designed to connect data center campuses and meet growing connectivity demands. Excel is central to the position. The analyst will work with large volumes of raw or imperfect data from project managers, vendors, and other teams, consolidating and analyzing information to help the PM team understand project status. Reporting supports visibility into construction progress, vendor performance, timelines, trends, and planned-versus-actual results. This is a contract-to-hire position based fully onsite in Phoenix, Arizona, five days per week. The listed pay range is $35.00–$45.00 per hour. The anticipated application deadline is November 13, 2026.
Requirements
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced Excel, formulas, and functions.
- Experience with data analysis, cleaning, and manipulation.
- Experience creating Excel-based reports and analysis.
- Ability to work with large or imperfect datasets.
- Experience with KPI and trend analysis.
- Experience with dashboard and management reporting.
- Experience with planned-versus-actual reporting.
- Ability to consolidate data from multiple sources.
Nice To Haves
- Excel macros experience is a strong plus.
- Tableau or Power BI experience is helpful.
- SQL experience.
- Python experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect project and vendor data from multiple teams and sources.
- Clean, organize, and manipulate data in Excel.
- Consolidate information from spreadsheets and project teams.
- Perform regular data extraction and analysis.
- Build and maintain Excel-based reports.
- Track KPIs and identify trends in project data.
- Compare planned and actual project performance.
- Support S-curve reporting and project progress tracking.
- Maintain vendor scorecards and analyze vendor performance.
- Identify discrepancies, trends, and potential issues in data.
- Help the project management team stay organized and understand project status.
- Turn detailed project information into clear reporting for leadership.
